Dr Linda Appiah-Kubi, a clinical fellow, with
Dr K Ray Chaudhuri, in Movement Disorders at the Guy's King's St. Thomas's
School of Medicine. She has a BSc degree in Neurosciences and has presented her
research work in several international Movement Disorders meetings. Her special
interest lies in the area of Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease and
pharmacological therapy of Movement Disorders.

Mr Michael L Bowen FRCS MRCOG MRCP (Ireland),
obstetrician and gynaecologist, honorary consultant North West London Hospitals
NHS Trust. Mr Bowen is an experienced obstetrician and gynaecologist who is now
in private practice. He has expertise in minimal access surgery and colposcopy
and has a longstanding research interest in obstetric wound
healing.

Professor Ian W Campbell FRCP. Professor
Campbell graduated from Edinburgh University in 1969. Since 1978 he has been a
Consultant Physician in general medicine and diabetes at Victoria Hospital,
Kirkcaldy, Fife. In 1996, he was appointed to an Honorary Chair in the
Department of Biological and Medical Sciences at the University of St Andrews.
Professor Campbell was Chairman of the Scottish Committee of the British
Diabetic Association (BDA) 1991-5, and a member of the UK BDA Department of
Health Task Force for the implementation of the St Vincent Declaration in
Scotland. Since 1994, he has been actively involved with the Scottish
Intercollegiate Guidelines Network (SIGN) and has chaired the Steering
Committees producing the original six evidence-based guidelines in 1996-97 and
the recently updated seven guidelines published in November 2001 (SIGN 55). He
is currently co-editor of British Journal of Diabetes and Vascular
Disease
Mr Eddie Chaloner, consultant vascular
surgeon operating across London and the South of England through his private
practice
Radiance Health, BMI Healthcare and Benenden Hospital
in Kent. He also treats NHS patients at Lewisham Hospital. Mr Chaloner is on
the faculty of the minimally invasive veins course at the Royal College of
Surgeons of England. His main interest in minimally invasive varicose veins
surgery.

Dr Stephen CP Collins MBChB DRCOG, is a GP in
Christchurch, Dorset. Dr Collins qualified from Leicester University and went
on to become a clinical assistant in upper gastrointestinal endoscopy at the
Royal Bournemouth Hospital. He is also GP Adviser to PPP healthcare and is
Board Representative for the Christchurch Primary Care Group.

Mr Chris Dawson MS FRCS LLDip is a consultant
urological surgeon at Peterborough and Stamford NHS Foundation Trust where he
has worked for the last 16 years. He qualified from University College Hospital
London in 1986 and did his surgical training in Reading, Portsmouth and London.
Chris has an interest in prostate cancer and performed radical prostatectomy in
Peterborough before cancer services were centralised regionally a few years
ago. Chris wrote the 1st edition of the ABC Of Urology (Wiley Publishing) and
has edited the third edition with co-editor and close friend Janine
Nethercliffe. This is due for publication in Spring 2012. Chris also co-edited
The Evidence for Urology (TfM publishing) with Gordon Muir and this book won
first prize in the urology section of the BMA Medical Book competition in 2005.
He also has an interest in medicolegal issues and has undertaken expert witness
training with London Law firm Bond Solon. He qualified with a Graduate Diploma
of Law from the College of Law in Birmingham in 2008.
Professor Christopher P Day, BA, MB, BChir,
MA (Cambridge), PhD, MD, FRCP, Professor of Liver Medicine. Professor Day is
currently secretary of the British Association for the Study of the Liver and
is on the Committee of the Liver Section of the British Society of
Gastroenterology and Medical Advisory Board of the British Liver Trust. He is
assistant editor of the international journal Liver and is on the editorial
board of the CME Journal of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition. He is
secretary of the Newcastle Centre for Liver Research and was awarded the 1999
Goulstonian Lectureship of the Royal College of Physicians and the 2000 British
Society of Gastroenterology Sir Francis Avery Jones Research Medal for his work
on alcoholic liver disease.
Dr John Dean, MBBS FRCGP, is a specialist in
sexual medicine, working in London and in Devon. He is interested in all
aspects of male and female sexuality, and its problems.
Mr Robert Diggory, consultant general surgeon
practicing in Fife, Scotland. Mr Diggory graduated from Dundee University in
1977 and gained an MD in gastrointestinal motility in 1988. He completed his
higher surgical training in Liverpool and Tokyo. He now specialises in the
surgery of stomach malignancy, laparoscopic surgery and endoscopy.

Dr Patricia Macnair MBChB, MA, DAFRCS, has
combined work as a geriatrician with a career as a health journalist for over
20 years. She works part-time on the wards of two Surrey hospital, including a
large District General Hospital and a small rehabilitation hospital, as part of
a multidisciplinary team that look after elderly people recovering from severe
illness or recent major surgery. For the rest of the week she is a freelance
medical journalist and broadcaster, writing on a wide range of topics for both
the public and for health professionals, in national magazines and papers, on
the internet and on radio. She has had several books published, and has won
several awards from The Medical Journalists Association, including a
Commendation for Excellence in Journalistic Skills 2013, Best Health Website
2011, Freelance Health Journalist (runner-up) 2008 and Writing for the Web

Dr Atul Mehta, MA, MD, FRCP, FRCPath,
consultant haematologist, Royal Free Hospital, London. After completing his
undergraduate training at Cambridge University and King's College Hospital, Dr
Mehta did various general medical training jobs prior to training in
haematology at the Hammersmith Hospital. His MD was sponsored by the Medical
Research Council and he spent two years examining molecular mechanisms
underlying aplastic anaemia. Since 1986 he has been a consultant haematologist
at the Royal Free Hospital, where his special interests are drug resistance and
sensitivity, myeloma and Gaucher's disease.
Dr Robert P Mills MS Phil FRCS (Eng) FRCS
(Ed), head of the Otolaryngology Unit of Edinburgh University and consultant
otolaryngologist to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. Dr Mills qualified from
the London Hospital Medical College in 1973 and trained in Bristol and at Guy's
Hospital and Kings College Hospital, London. Between 1986 and 1988 he was
consultant otolaryngologist at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee and honorary senior
lecturer, University of Dundee.

FRCR FRCP(E), is currently Consultant Clinical Oncologist and Professor of
Radiation Oncology, Ninewells Hospital, Dundee.Has worked as consultant
oncologist at St Mary’s Hospital London; Hammersmith Hospital, London; Princess
Margaret Hospital, Toronto; St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London; and the Royal
London Hospital.
Dr Carina Norris RNutr is a registered
nutritionist, health journalist and media consultant. She has written 10 books
on healthy eating, and contributes regular columns and features to several
national magazines. Carina was the nutritionist for Channel 4’s Turn Back Your
Body Clock (also writing the book accompanying the series). When nutrition is
in the news, Carina is often called on for comment by national newspapers, TV
and radio.

Mr Dai Rees M Ch Orth FRCS, is consultant
orthopaedic surgeon at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic and District

has extensive experience of injuries sustained by elite athletes in every
